How to do Christmas

This year I think we got our son's number. I think we got him gifts that he's really going to enjoy. We got him a few large detailed die-cast cars; I know he'll love those. We also got him a Leapfrog Didj; I'm sure he'll be captivated by it and the games family members are giving him for it. And he'll get other things from us and relatives too. But, this year I don't think we're going to overwhelm him with gift after gift like we've done in the past.

first things first...Merry Christmas everyone! shane, loved the picture of your house. it looks great.
so anyway, about four months ago i finally went full-time at a new job. yea for me! the job market is so bad and i had been searching for full-time employment ever since we realized the depth of therapies that esmond would need and that one of us were going to have to stay home for at least a year.
that stay home job fell on daddy's shoulders since he's a subcontractor and his work had already been very, very slow since the economy tanked a couple of years ago or so.
he still gets a gig every now and then, but it had been awhile until this weekend. farm bureau is having a bing wingding at the marriot in franklin and my hubby got the call to come do his thing (he's an audio/video tech).
Let There Be Lights!

My quest of exterior illumination began the second I swallowed that last bite of turkey. Heck, I was nearly on top of our roof as the mashed potatoes and gravy were sliding down my gullet. OK - I'm exagerating, but you get the point. Before the meal I prayed to God and thanked him for his goodness and salvation. After the meal, as I was on the roof, I prayed that I wouldn't fall and break my femur. God is faithful, and my femur is still in one piece.
No More Chopped Liver!

I hate liver. I don't like the smell of it, the texture of it, or the way it looks. In fact, I quiver at the sight of liver. I'm not putting it in my mouth no matter how many slices of onion hide the flavor. I don't even want to be near it.
For the last several weeks I have been chopped liver. My son, Braden, has wanted his Mom to do everything with him or for him. But that all changed a few days ago when Braden called me to play Thomas Lego's with him.
