Is Your Autistic Child Going to Heaven?

My wife and I are followers of Christ. God drew us near about 6 months before we knew our son had autism. Shortly after our son was diagnosed I began to think about the question in the title of this blog. I had assumed that I knew the correct answer, but you know what they say about people who make assumptions, right? Being a man of the Lord, and also a man who believes the Bible is the living word of God, I wanted a solid Biblical answer to that question. And I found it.
And the answer affects all of our children, regardless of whether or not you put your faith in Christ. What you believe has no bearing on your child's ultimate destiny any more than if you didn't believe in gravity, but then you jumped from the fourth floor. You'd still have broken bones... and you'd believe in gravity after that! But the matter at hand is serious. Is your child going to eternal salvation or eternal condemnation? And how do you know for sure?

good evening everyone! besides my first blog i have not really revealed much about myself. besides being a mom, i have a full-time job leasing rental property.
even though i occasionally play the lottery in hopes of early retirement, i really love my job. one of the best parts of my job is that i get to meet a lot of people. most of the people i show property to are very nice and interesting people. while i am helping them find a new home i learn about them. quiet frequently you become friends with these people. you learn about their personal lives, you joke with them when they stop by the office to pay rent, you empathize with them when something bad happens to them; you get the picture.

hello everyone! and happy father's day to all the daddies in the world. they are very special people, especially sir dantes' and ms. maxie's. just being a bit bias!
anyway, the other day i came across an interesting article about genes and autism. it was on the usa news week site; "researchers find autism related gene".
now quoting from the article:
"THE RESEARCHERS FOUND THAT AUTISM ENVISAGED DOZENS OF GENES AND SEVERAL COMBINATION S OF RARE MUTATIONS. THEY ALSO FOUND THAT EACH PATIENT MAY HAVE A UNIQUE FORM OF MUTATIONS."
Hotwheels spurn on Imagination

I can't NOT write about this. When we see huge and sudden improvements in speech/language it's a time of celebration in our house, and every house that lovingly contains a child with autism. I use the word contains loosely. We'll never tame this kid. We can only hope to contain him. Haha!
The other day, as my autistic son Braden recovers from Strep Throat, he really began using his imagination and generalizing with his toy Hotwheels. Nearly every car he put his hand on was somebody's car that he knew. Grandma's van. Mrs. M's car. Uncle Jason's truck. None of his Hotwheels looked anything like the real cars these people own, but that was PERFECT. Let me explain why.
